Best Movies of 2015 (Hollywood)

Hey guys,  I compiled a list of movies I enjoyed this year (2015) and I rated them. I actually had about 30 something movies on the list but narrowed it down to 10. If you feel I left  out any "hot" movie that deserved to be on the list out, please let me know. Here's the list :

Mad max : Fury Road

Everyone is fighting for the necessities of life, there are two rebels who just might be able to restore order—Max, a man of action and few words, who seeks peace of mind after losing his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos, and Furiosa, a woman of action who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.
 9/10


Kings men ; The Secret Service :

A veteran spy (Colin Firth) of a super-secret organization recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.
 7/10




John wick :

An ex-hit man comes out of retirement to track down the gangsters that took everything from him.
 8/10


Gone girl :

With his wife's disappearance having become the focus of an intense media circus, a man sees the spotlight turned on him when it's suspected that he may not be innocent.
I might be partial about this one, I really loved this movie so I'd give it 9/10

Mission impossible ; rogue nation :

Ethan and team take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the Syndicate - an International rogue organization as highly skilled as they are, committed to destroying the IMF.
8/10

Straight Outta Campton :

The group NWA emerges from the mean streets of Compton in Los Angeles, California, in the mid-1980s and revolutionizes Hip Hop culture with their music and tales about life in the hood.
 8/10

Fast and Furious 7 :

Deckard Shaw seeks revenge against Dominic Toretto and his family for his comatose brother.
9/10

Terminator Genisys :

When John Connor, leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured time line.
I prefer the old terminators than this though, so I would rate this 7/10

Pitch perfect :

After a humiliating command performance at The Kennedy Center, the Barden Bellas enter an international competition that no American group has ever won in order to regain their status and right to perform.
I preferred 1 though, so I would give this  7/10

The man from U.N.C.L.E :

In the early 1960s, CIA agent Napoleon Solo and KGB operative Illya Kuryakin participate in a joint mission against a mysterious criminal organization, which is working to proliferate nuclear weapons.
 9/10

Turning the hands of time.

Time is very powerful. I believe we've all been in situation where we wished we could go back to the past and change a lot of things, make our wrongs right, make better decisions where they were required. I have found myself in this position severally, I'd sit down, think and sulk, wishing I could change things but when I eventually chose to grow up, I realized few things which I am going to share with you amazing trailblazers :

We can never turn back the hands of time : I realized I could keep wishing for as long as I wanted but I'd just be wasting my time, because the truth is no one can turn back the hands of time. When I looked back I observed that valuable time was already lost which I could not recover back, So the first step I took was forgetting about "Turning back the hands of time".

Make peace with yourself and turn to God to guide you : Your peace is more important than driving yourself crazy trying to understand why some things happened the way they did. You need to let go. Talk to God.

Focus on the Future: Forget the past because it's the past and it can only stay behind you, not ahead of you. You have to focus on what is ahead of you which is the Future. Make a plan, Have a purpose, Use time wisely!

Value your Time : Fela Durotoye once said "Value your time and make the best use of it". Time waits for no man. Have a good time management. Utilize it to the best.

Do not give up : You can't give up! Swallow your tears, stand upright and tell yourself that you won't give up no matter what. You just have to keep pushing.

Make a move: It is not enough to have a purpose without having a plan. This was one mistake I made, I had so many great ideas(some which I have forgotten) but I didn't make any move! A terrible mistake which I have eventually gotten over. Make a move!!! Don't just sit!

Do not compare yourself: A lot of time I'd compare myself with people around me and look at the people I "thought" had a better life than I did, and I'd end up having migraine. But then, I came to realize we all don't have the same life, aim, plan, purpose, dream. God understands it all! We are all different for a reason.

When life hits you hard pick yourself up and move on: Yes, life would slap our faces and push us down and even try to get at our self-esteem. It is just left for us to get up and not let life get at us!!

Keep thinking positive: A positive mind produces positive result. Scrap out every negative thought and you'd be fine.

Face reality: Life is tough! It isn't a bed of roses. We need to learn the truth and how to deal with it. The truth may be bitter but it still remains the truth.

It is okay to make mistakes: Mistakes are bound to happen. Do not go so hard on yourself when you make mistakes. Try not to keep making the same mistakes.

Following Your True Calling

Following Your True Calling

I honestly do not consider myself a very religious person but if there was one thing I believe in above any other, it would be the existence of the Almighty God. I'm not a preacher, I'm just trying to be on the right track with God spiritually and physically.

Just the other day I was at the church and the Preacher spoke about prosperity and then he said "Innovation is the master of prosperity". In a brief solipsistic moment those words like a bell, having a resounding echo in my head MOVED ME and so I decided to share what I learnt from this and talk about ways to utilize this information and show you how to manipulate it to succeed in our various fields. We all yearn for prosperity but what most people fail to realize is that prosperity is not just limited to your aspirations and goals. Rather, it should be about prosperity in every sector of your life i.e. health, career, happiness, wealth, knowledge, etc. altogether to prosper yourself and be whole. But I would be focusing on only one vital part of this which is CAREER PROSPERITY.

Recently I observed that a good number of people aren't pursuing their true career, which is supposed to be their true calling. Yes, we all know good things don’t come as easy as we want them to, but if you've been pursuing a certain career for a long time and nothing prosperous comes out from it, you need a change. You need to follow your calling (career) ordained by God, your true calling. But to do so you need to master how to put the following to work:   

• Stop following the "trending" careers: so many people today have chosen their careers not because it's their calling or they love it, but they go into these careers just because it's "trending". And while pursing these "trending" careers, some people are happy but not prospering financially while others are prospering financially but not happy. What is the use of prospering in only one field of your life? God has given us the power to prosper in every area of our lives. I believe true prosperity is when we prosper in every area of our lives. We can invigorate old careers that people seem to have forgotten, if you have a passion for it and it's God chosen. And that is also an innovation of prosperity if we make good use of these careers.    

• Do your thing and dwell in prosperity: one thing I know is there's no way we'd pursue our God ordained career and not prosper. Except, we choose not to prosper and follow the wrong things. Most people pursue careers due to peer pressure and forget to be real with themselves and do their thing. Remember, there's nothing as imprudent as self-deceit. Be real with yourself!

• Talk to God about your calling: so, some people will be like "I want to follow my calling, but how do I know what my calling is?" I believe if you talk to God about it, he'd show you your talents and strong suits. Talk to him. Believe in him. He'd show you the way.  

• Pursue your calling and aim high: when we realize our calling. We just don't wait for that miracle of prosperity. We have to purse it, dream big and aim high. We have to set goals and expand. We have to step out and push our careers. We have to struggle and reach our goals. Don't just wait for prosperity after knowing your God ordained career. Step out, pursue it, set goals and reach your goals!

Well, I'm still pursuing my career. I like to my give opinion about things that matter to us as individuals and talk about them. I love being me and I can proudly say I am enjoying it.

Hello Amazing people, please welcome me as I start this new chapter of my life, lol. I have had this dynamism for  blogging and vlogging for quite some time now but I've just been extremely lazy to start it up, Thank God for the Amazing people I have in my life that have pushed to do it, so for now I am going to start with blogging. Basically, this blog is going to cover things that matters to us as humans but we chose to ignore and not pay attention to. Also, I would  be doing reviews of whatever it is have got my attention, sometimes fashion updates(where I'd be feeling myself  ;) )  I am also going to start sort of a trend called #MyLagosStory , this is basically telling the weird stories that have happened to you in Lagos, stories that you can look back at and thank God and laugh .
